Black Money Cat - 15cm

The black colour is the defining feature of this version. Rather than the familiar all-gold Lucky Cat, the glossy black finish gives it a more contemporary and slightly mysterious character, contrasted by bright red details, a green bib and the large gold character on its belly.

That character, 福 (fú), is associated with good fortune, blessings and happiness. Placing it prominently on the cat makes the meaning easy to understand, while the gold colouring reinforces the traditional association with prosperity.

The raised left paw carries its own symbolism. In the commonly used interpretation of Maneki-neko, the left paw is associated with attracting people, visitors and customers. It is therefore particularly appropriate as a gift for someone opening a shop, starting a business or simply wishing to attract a little more good fortune into their life.

For retailers, this is an interesting choice for customers who like Asian-inspired décor, lucky symbols and prosperity gifts, but want something a little less traditional in appearance.

Please note: Battery compartment does not have a cover and also does not have an on/off button as it is designed to wave constantly.
