Here at AW Artisan Europe. we are thrilled to expand our handcrafted collection with something truly special: Lokta Paper Notebooks. These beautifully made notebooks are crafted by hand in Nepal using traditional and sustainable techniques that have been passed down through generations.
What makes Lokta paper so unique? It's made from the bark of the Daphne Papyracea plant, which grows wild in the Himalayan forests. The bark is harvested sustainably – the plant naturally regenerates – and then processed entirely by hand. The fibres are turned into pulp, shaped, and sun-dried to create a durable, eco-friendly paper with a wonderfully textured feel you simply won't find in mass-produced alternatives.
